Covid can be fun.

Today's Tids Issue 4,792

Happy Lights:

The best lights on a Christmas tree are always the reflections bright smiles from people standing around it singing carols.

I’m getting tired of Covid and dreary,

Weary of eyes always bleary

From watching Netflix all the time

Where I’m slowly losing my mind.

I now wake up and find a beach.

And walk as far as sands will reach.

And when finishing the morning run,

I step back, and smile at the sun…

Saying there are no mean diseases

When walking out by ocean’s breezes.

The same goes for walking or running across gentle fields or on woodsy paths. There are many ways to get out from under indoor stiflelization. Just in case you don’t have an ocean handy. I have never been much of a healthnut. But he idea of getting a lot of fresh air is a piece of advice I can accept.

What I’m saying is that I think you’re better off outside where the air is fresh, and in the winter it’s even better when you can be there, anywhere, without people within in 60 feet of you. And a Covid benefit works well: If it’s cold those face masks are quite amazing.

The Question:

How High is Mount Everest? Bonus: Mount Everest is part in Nepal and part in China’s Tibet. What is the big mountain’s name in Nepal and in Tibet?

So far, no socks this winter. I just like to think of it as a test to check my circulation. Old people have a lot of tricks.

It’s tough to be positive when the main news is about an out of control disease that you want to be negative.

By the way, do we have any idea yet from where CV came. One day everybody is leading normal lives  (Depending how various people define normal.) and the next day we have a brand spanking new disease with no apparent cure, which has entirely befuddled experts. Yes the best these wisest and brightest Phd’s and MDs can come up with is  “Where a mask.” Sound odd, doesn’t it?

I really have no interest at ail in the recent social media commentary from Olive Jade Giannulli.

I think I may take up lucid dreaming. That’s another way to get out of the house.

I probably shouldn’t have named today’s Tids “Covid can be fun.” It sure isn’t for those who have seen their loved ones pass away. But I tried to say that there are bright sides to just about everything. And Covid only becomes more debilitating you only sit around and think about being debilitated.

The Answer:

If you thought it was 29,029.61 feet you are dead wrong. It was Sunday; news. Yesterday was announced that after a “gargantuan, multi-year undertaking” it grew 2 feet to 29,031.69. This is a big deal for Nepal. In 1856 the Indian Survey measured the mighty Mount at 29,002. That was fine for everybody till 1955 when another India survey had it at 29,029. In 2005 A China survey moved it higher to 29,017, which was quickly met by USA’s  National Geographic that had it a 29,035. Bonus; Everest in Nepal is called Sagarmatha and in China’s Tibet it is Chomolungma.
