Misconceptions.

Today's Tids Issue 5.592

Not in a Vacuum:

There is something really special about sharing elation with others. Without that, did anything really happen?

I liked the world better when $20 was big bucks.

The stock market is in one of its schizophrenic stages.

You got to be some kind of special person to learn that your two-day stay in a metal can in floating around the universe has been extended for at least six months because the machine that is supposed to bring you home doesn't work, and still smile about it. How About a Hip, Hip, Hooray for Sunita Williams and Barry Wilmore, and a prayer for divine intervention at the Boeing engineering department.

I haven’t seen the news media this ebullient in years as it report on every movement and utterance of Kam and Tim.

The Question:

What’s the best first name for a news anchor that breaks a lot of big stories?

The Headlines:

--Dow, Nas, S&P Markets Pop; Confidence Returns after Yesterdays; decline in New Jobless Claims.

--Northeast Braces for Debby Rains.

--ISIS Material Found at Home of Swift Concert Alleged Terror Organizer.

--Trump and Harris Agree to Debate on September 10.

--Putin Admits That Ukraine Has Had Successful Incursion into Russia Kurst Territory,

--Google Axes Chromecast.

Are you thinking, “Swift Boat” 2.0 like I am?

Well, folks, tonight I become a bore for eth next 6 months. The New England Patriots play on TV tonight. Now we have a real mystery team for 2024-25, but it is always fun to see the mystery unravel. Or in the case of the Patriots, ravel. Ravel is a word, isn't it?

Yes, it is a word but pretty much means the same thing as unravel. Hmmm. How come wind and unwind works but ravel and unravel doesn’t?

No wonder I got poor grades in English courses. Iwa too logical.

Today has been one of those days where I'm back and forth between the Tids and doing chores around the house. Actually, my main chore was giving my talented son-in-law pep talks so he doesn't stop working.

As a young person I always admired Minnesota as a land of hardy, independent, responsible, hardworking people who can do almost anything without government largess and interference. Now I see it is just a cold version of California.

Just what the USA needs, a former teacher to help nationalize local education. God help us. As far as I can see, the only reason the Department of Education exists is to keep the NEA happy.

I find that most household projects can be accomplished easier and better with patience. Power tools are nice, but patience is the key.

The Answer:

Justin. That’s it. Nothing more, nothing less.

Today was like my day off. But the real question is, “From what?"
