People do know.

Today's Tids Issue 5,607

Awakening:

You can just get pushed around for so long, and then somehow commonsense blossoms anew and the road ahead looks better.

I figure a really, really good cheeseburger at home cost about $2.25 total. In a restaurant lately with these so-called super gourmet chef burgers you are in the range of $16 to  $18. Add one drink, tip and taxes and you’re looking at a $35+ tab. And it's hard to watch Wheel of Fortune in a noisy restaurant.

It appears Nvidia’s high valuation was based on extreme hopes of investors that weren't met even after yesterday's report where the company beat estimates for profit and revenue. That’s the kind of market we are in at ties, mit seems. It's for the gamers.

Angry carrots are steamed veggies.

The Question;

What are the five oldest colleges in America?

The Headlines:

--Solid Dow Stocks Reenergize the Market After Yesterday's Nvidia' Falloff.

--Killer Typhoon Hits Southern Japan.

--California’s Sweeping AI Bill Seems on its Way to Becoming Law; Bill Basically designed to Have Tech Wizards Leash their AI.

Well, finally Kamala will be interviewed on CNN. But she will bring along Walz to hold her hand. That isn't exactly what America was looking for.

I was going to say “Cute Commie Couple but I don't like being outrageous.

Bank of America. Sounds really huge does it. Bank of A-m-e-r-i-c-a. Big for sure. But it’s hard to believe them when they say we are your hometown bank... we’re connected.

One of the new trends appearing in the sports world is the rise of threatening social media assaults on athletes, mainly the results of irritated gamblers who lost. It's been prevalent, it appears, in tennis. And that may just be the tip of the iceberg.  What a combination  -- social media, Gambling and anonymous nuts.  A better world through technology.

Ford is the latest company to stop with the DRI constraints. They have known for decades that they have a diverse workplace matching like the population. It has dawned in them and many other companies, why do we have to hire to meet some arbitrary standards report instead of hiring to meet the needs of a team of good people to run a business profitably and competitively. Maybe the world is waking up.

I failed my Braille class. It’s a touchy subject.

Don't look now, but unions have felt empowered since Biden took office. To the point where Dartmouth's basketball team is unionized. Silly. So tis movement is another proverbial tip of an Iceberg that could explode under K and W.

I personally have a voting rule, I don't vote for teachers for town school committee. So, i will employ the same philosophy where Walz is concerned.

The Answer:

Oldest is Harvard followed by William and Mary, St. John's (Annapolis), Yale, Penn, Moravian, Princeton, Washington and Lee, Columbia, Brown, Rutgers, Dartmouth, Charleston, Salem, Dickenson Hampton-Sydney, Delaware and Washington and Jefferson.

I'm off to play golf and I thought I'd play one of my favorite tunes so I can hum happily after a bad slice.
