I agree that the Department of Educaton should be dissolved dismissed and Ed decisions returned to the states, though RI hasn't proven it can get it done with or without Fed help.
Yes, returning education to RI might not be so hot as it appears the Unions here own the Governor and probably most of of te legislature. Our Gov continues to demonstrate how he is in the unions pocket which generally means the tax collector will be reaching deeper into the taxpayer pockets. Our folksy Gov has been very generous to public employees. He has just approved an annual 4% salary increase. Let's see, the Fed has for several years now been working its ass off to get the inflation rate to 2%. Yes, in RI the state employees don work for us, We work for them.
Boring days on Wall Street are better for retiree’s portfolios.
By the way, on the stock front, it appears that stocks were up early this morning because investors are anticipating tomorrow's CPI number. Now why are they up when the number could eb bad for up. So, if it is bad the markets plummet which will induce panic plummeting. Yes, the markets are better in these times when they are boring.

The Temps here are pleasant meaning we can happily move from AC to FA – Fresh Air. ‘You know the Weather people around here threaten us with heat wave talk but we really never had an official heat wave this summer regardless of how many people like talking about oppressive heat. Temps now are below average for this time of year.

First, my all-time best HS Movie could be To Sir With Love. And one I remember as thoroughly moving was Blackboard Jungle. Neither of these are on the list of 135. Number one is Ferris Buellers; Day off which is followed by Breakfast Club, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Dazed and Confused, Sixteen Candles, American Pie, Grease, Clueless,10 Things I Hate about You and Mean Girls. Way down the list are classics like Rebel without a Cause. Fame, Mr. Holland’s Opus, Hoosiers and Stand and Deliver.
