Not quite over.

Today's Tids Issue 5,604

Is there enough aspirin:

There’s rarely ever any plot

It's often the luck of the pot.

But to all reading this slop

I'll always say, Thanks a lot.

Beware of the “Uniters” Now it’s Kammy parroting Joe B who parroted BO. Remembered Joe the Uniter who severed the country in half in one of his first acts as President. What a crock.

Only dead fish go with the flow.

The best speech of the week just came from Jerome Powell – “The time has come...” Talk about a happy weekend in the Hamptons.

What today means is that last night the choreography of the convention ended. Kamala danced the dance well. Trump had two left feet. But who will do well in the real world?

The Question:

Who are the ten greatest British Actors.

The Headlines:

--Stocks to Open Strong with Hopes that became Reality when Powell Said, “The Time has Come for Policy to Adjust.”

--BMW EV Outselling Tesla in Europe.

--Kamala Speech Closing DNC Convention Long on Nostalgia, Short on Policy

--All Missing Bodies Now Recovered from Sunken Super Yacht.

--Canadian Government Intervenes to get Rail Lines Back to Moving Merchandise.

But regardless of the angst of the campaigns, I am focused squarely on the FedEx season ending golf series. And this morning I'm happily looking at Keegan Bradly at the top of the leaderboard. Unfortunately, the odds makers still have Scheffler, Schaufele and the usual suspects at the top. Fool em’, Keegan.

Speaking of Odds, Oddsmakers just this morningmoved Trump ahead of Kam.

Duh Headline of the Morning, Department:

Some editor actually allowed this to get into print, “Breaking News: Harris Accepts Democratic Presidential Nomination.” And we cut down trees for that.

Too often the optimistic phrase, “Never say Never” ends in never.

If cats could text, they wouldn’t.

It feels like fall this week -- Beautiful comfortable fall. Maybe the climate isn't changing, it is just shifting, Yeah, maybe May has become July and August is now October.

Does Kamala Harris have any idea of how the USA Economic system works. It seems her idea is to create a big pot of government money and people will avoid trying to cut costs.

If you are a picky eater, never sit next to the hostess at a dinner party. As pleasant as that may seem to be.

I think you reach a perfect state of happiness when you stop feeling guilty about doing nothing

One of my fondest old memories is an old wooden grey dory and the clunking of the ores in the locks as you row,

The opposite of Kathmandu is Dogwomandont.

The Answer:

Number Oneis Anthony Hopkins. He is followed by Ala n Rickman, Gary Oldman, Michael Caine, Ian McKellen, Benedict Cumberbatch, Patrick Stewart, Daniel Day Lewis, Christiopher Lee and John Hurt. The next ten are Ralph Fiennes, Alec Guinnes, Sean Connery, Christian Bale, Liam Neesen, Ewan McGregor, Tom Hardy. Tom Huddleson, David Tenant and Ben Kingsley. O well, let's go to 25 – Charlie Chaplain, Sean Bean, James McAvoy, Tim Curry and Hugh Laurie. So where was Kenneth Branagh and Perter Sellers? They are 50 and 53. Others down the list are Peter O'Toole, Laurence Olivier, Richard Burton and my favorite Hugh Grant at 62. And there are so many more who you would know wellGood actors maybe UKs biggest export.

Have a great weekend, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!!

The Conventions are over, and we’ve only just begun. Ouch. But maybe we’ll eventually find Harmony, somehow.
